Nexium delivers telco upgrades for March IT

Brisbane-based licensed telecommunications carrier March IT and Nexium Telecommunications have formed a strong partnership to deliver telecommunications services to remote and rural Queensland towns.

Recently, contracts were signed for the delivery of high speed E-Line services from Roma and Chinchilla to Brisbane.

Nexium and Powerlink also recently teamed up to deliver another great outcome for March IT with Nexium providing last mile connectivity from Powerlink’s network in Brisbane to March IT’s data centre.

“This was delivered within very tight timeframes”, Nexium’s Wholesale Account Manager Peter Humphris said.

It required collaboration by teams across Energy Queensland including Ergon Energy Comms resources and Energex Line Designers and Distribution field resources.

This is part of Nexium’s and Powerlink’s ongoing commitment to provide regional telecommunications competition, providing service providers with open and equitable access to utility fibre optic infrastructure.

March IT will install Wi-Fi services in the towns and use utility infrastructure to provide the back haul to a Brisbane.

“This will provide a resilient, carrier-grade service for the local town business’ which have predominately experienced slow or no Internet services at all”, Business Development Director with March IT Geoff Marsh said.

March IT expects to install additional Nexium services to more communities over the next 6-12 months.
